Some classics are popular for a good reason – and Dvorak’s symphony “From the New World” sounds as fresh, as stirring and as gloriously tuneful today as when it was first heard, 130 years ago in New York. Guest conductor Krzysztof Urbański brings an energy that’s all his own: sparks will fly when he shares a vibrant modern classic from his native Poland, and joins Hong Kong-born piano phenomenon Chiyan Wong in Busoni’s lush Indian Fantasy.
